If you have kids getting ready to graduate from High School and start College (or who are already in college), you’ve probably noticed that the bumper sticker “My kid and my money go to xyz college/university” has become a lot less funny! (That’s because you’ve figured out that its true!)
But never fear – help is available. This time from the Defense Commissary Agency! What? Yes, you’ve read correctly. The Defense Commissary Agency is offering an application for the agency’s 2008 Scholarship for Military Children.
The application is available in commissaries worldwide, or you can go online to http://www.commissaries.com .
It is a $1500 scholarship, and is available to unmarried children under the age of 21 (or 23 if enrolled in school) of military active duty, retired and Guard and Reserve service-members.
Applications are due by February 20th!
At least one scholarship will be awarded at every commissary location with qualified applicants.
Go for it!
