Admiral Mike Mullen To Visit Colorado Springs

According to the Associated Press, Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is scheduled to visit Colorado Springs, where he will tour Military Facilities.
First on his list? According to Mike Kucharek, spokesman for Northcom and NORAD, Peterson Air Force Base will have that honor. Admiral Mullen will inspect the Headquarters there.

Hawaii Preferred Over Colorado Springs

The preferred sitefor stationing the the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division as a Stryker Brigade Combat Team is Hawaii, not Colorado Springs. An environmental impact study(EIS) was done, between Schofield Barracks and Ft. Carson, and it was concluded on Friday.
